Have you heard of ‘Shaping’ before?
Maybe you’re new to this training method or maybe you already have some experience with this FUN way of teaching your dog new skills. Shaping is a skill for BOTH the handler and the dog as well as a great way to boost your dog’s thinking and problem solving skills which in turn boost their confidence and optimism!
The first portion of the workshop will be handlers only and then move into handler/dog work and demonstrations. Auditors participate during the handler portion and audit during the working portion.
There are 4 Handler & Dog Working Spots Available!
Working dogs must be comfortable in your vehicle (while not working), have an established marker and release word and be able to work with you around other people. Working spots are suitable for dog-reactive dogs as only one dog will be working in the building at a time.
2 day Workshop: TBD

A 2 day deep dive into On-Leash Dog Reactivity!
Day 1 - Is handler only learning all about reactivity. What it is, why it happens, what can contribute to it and how we can start to help our dogs.
Day 2 - All participants (audit & working) will get to learn and practice skills with one another. The working spot students will then get to work with their dog on the skills and behaviours. These skills can then be used in real life moments once established.
There are 5 Working Spots Available!
Working dogs must be comfortable in your vehicle (while not working) and be able to work with you around other people. Working spots will only have one dog working in the building at a time. Working spots are not suitable for human reactive dogs.
*This workshop will not 'cure' your dog's reactivity but is a jump start into working on it*
Reactive Rover
I loved the workshop. It was nice to have working dogs there at different levels to see how things change and develop over time!
I am excited to start working on some of the games we covered with Rip to help with his arousal and frustration level management.

Where's my HANDS Workshop
This was a fantastic workshop. I think it would help people when they take their pups to class to have taken this already. It was such a good course.
