Private Classes
Private Classes are a great option to receive structured learning with 1-on-1 instruction from the comfort of your own home.
All Private Classes come with set weekly homework to help guide you. (Leash Skills weeks 1-3 only)
We offer both In-Person Private Class & Virtual Private Class options for all classes other than
Private Agility FUNdamentals 1 & 2 which are held outside in a fully fenced yard in Westsyde
**In-Person Services are only offered in Kamloops **

To purchase a Private Class below, click 'Register'. You will be asked to schedule your first lesson at the time of registration. Once you have registered and paid for your package, you will receive an email with a link to schedule your remaining lessons.

Private Puppy Class
1 Hr orientation lesson & 6 - 45 min lessons scheduled 5 - 14 days apart
In-Person lessons take place in your home. Virtual lessons take place via video chat
All lessons come with homework to help guide you with your training.
Getting a puppy can be exciting but also overwhelming.
This private class will help set you and your new puppy on the right path to success right away. Topics covered include:
- Puppy specific issues
- Foundation skills - sit, down, stay (release word), impulse control, crate/mat, hand targets, how to play with your dog (tug & drop), and the start of loose leash walking and recall
- Life skill behaviours to assist with vet visits, grooming & other human handling.
- Building value & engagement with you around distractions such as other people and dogs.
- Learn about dog body language and what your puppy is trying to communicate
This private class is suitable for those who are starting out with a new puppy or are struggling with 'puppy' specific behaviours (biting, crate training, potty training etc.)
Class credits expire 14 weeks after purchase
Private Basic Manners Class
1 Hr orientation lesson & 6 - 45 min lessons scheduled 5 - 14 days apart
In-Person lessons take place in your home. Virtual lessons take place via video chat
All lessons come with homework to help guide you with your training.
This class covers all the basic foundations for your puppy or dog to have good manners and basic obedience skills while helping to set them on the right path to success. Topics covered include:
- Foundation behaviours - sit, down, stay (release word), impulse control, crate/mat, hand targets, how to play with your dog (tug & drop), and the start of loose leash walking and recall
- Life skill behaviours to assist with vet visits, grooming & other human handling.
- Building value and engagement with you, even around distractions such as other people and dogs.
- Learn about dog body language and what your dog is trying to communicate
This private class is suitable for puppies and dogs of all ages that are not in need of help with puppy specific behaviours (biting, crate training, potty training etc.)
Class credits expire 14 weeks after purchase
Private Leash Skills Class
5 - 45 min lessons scheduled 5 - 14 days apart
PLUS graduates will receive a credit to join one of our On-Leash Group Walks for FREE.
Lessons 1-3 include homework and will take place In-Person / Virtually in your home.
Lessons 4 will take place in your neighbourhood & lesson 5 will take place in a public place in Kamloops (if ready)
Walking beside you on a loose leash, in a straight line does not come naturally to your dog. Yet, this is an essential skill that your dog may require at times to live a safe and harmonious life with you in the human world.
In this class we will cover:
- Basic Loose Leash Walking Skills
- Teaching a Heel behaviour
- Walking tools, how and when to use them.
- Practice with increasingly challenging, real world, distractions.
- Practice inside and outside (when your dog is ready & weather permitting)
If your dog does not have an established marker word (ex. 'Yes') and/or release word (ex. 'Okay ', 'Break') you will get upfront homework to teach your dog these skills before your first lesson as they are not covered in the curriculum but are used to teach the behaviours and skill taught.
Class credits expire 10 weeks after purchase
Private Rock-solid Recall Class
6 - 45 min lessons scheduled 5 - 14 days apart
In-Person lessons take place in your home.
Virtual lessons take place via video chat (Virtual lessons for weeks 3-6 are better with more than one handler available)
All lessons come with homework to help guide you with your training.
This class is best taught where there is space to move and/or run with your dog.
Having a dog that comes when called (the FIRST time) is an important and possibly a life saving skill. In this class you are going to build your relationship with your dog with FUN and engaging training games to build a strong recall. In this class we will cover:
- Why dogs ignore us when we call them
- How to teach a recall
- Recall GAMES to play with your dog
- Recall with distractions
- Skills to continue practicing and building your dog's Recall after class
If your dog does not have an established marker word (ex. 'Yes') and/or release word (ex. 'Okay ', 'Break') you will get upfront homework to teach your dog these skills before your first lesson as they are not covered in the curriculum but are used to teach on the behaviours and skill taught.
Your dog will also need to be comfortable going in a crate or have an established bed/mat cue

Private Level 1 Trick Class
4 - 45 min lessons scheduled 5 - 14 days apart
In-Person lessons take place in your home. Virtual lessons take place via video chat

As a Certified Trick Dog Instructor, I'll help you work towards your dog's Novice & Intermediate Trick Dog Titles if you would like to do so.
Some of the tricks covered in Level 1 Trick Class include: Roll over, peek-a-boo, spin, sit pretty, play dead, leg weave plus more!
If your dog does not have an established marker word (ex. 'Yes') and/or release word (ex. 'Okay ', 'Break') you will get upfront homework to teach your dog these skills before your first lesson as they are not covered in the curriculum but are used to teach on the behaviours and tricks taught.
