1 Hr class once a week for 5 weeks plus a credit for one On-Leash Group Walk
$225 plus GST
Classes are held at the Search, Recovery and Detection K9's facility located in the Cooper Centre Building at 101-780 Windsor Ave, Kamloops.
Prerequisite - Completion of a Group class (with us or another positive reinforcement trainer) or Private Lesson with us. Must have an established marker word and release word.
This class is not suitable for dogs that bark at other people and/or dogs on leash, including overexcited and fearful barking dogs, please start with a Private Lesson to set you up for the best success in a group class environment or check out our Private Class options
Would it be a surprise to hear that walking beside you, on a loose leash, in a straight line does not come naturally to your dog. Yet this can be an essential skill that your dog may need to live a safe and harmonious life with you in the human world.
In this class we will:
- Refresh on basic leash skills learned in prior classes
- Learn about walking tools, how and when to use them.
- Practice with increasingly challenging, real world, distractions. (impulse control)
- Practice inside and outside (when dogs are ready & weather permitting)
- Learn how to fade out working with food
